Tomorrow is Easter Sunday and I'll be spending the day with my extended family. I refer to them as my in-laws since me and my fiancé have been together for more than 8 years. His mom is a great cook, and I can already taste the food, LOL! She makes the absolute best baked macaroni & cheese, and I love her collard greens. My mouth is watering just thinking about it! Since I don't cook dishes like that because I'm not sure how they would turn out, it's always a treat when we have dinner at her house. She cooks like she's cooking for an army. For example, tomorrow she's cooking barbequed ribs, fried chicken, collard greens, homemade mac & cheese, deviled eggs, yams, and potato salad! Does that sound good or what! I don't know how she does it, but everything is always so well-seasoned, and I feel like I gain a few pounds every time I eat at her house. Not only that, when it's time to leave, she loads us up with to-go plates and we end up having enough food to eat for 2 days. The best thing about it is I don't have to cook myself, which gives me a much-needed break from the kitchen.
