The Farmville Dogwood Festival
One thing I look forward to every year is the Farmville Dogwood Festival. It's a yearly festival that named after the beautiful Dogwood trees that decorate the courtyard where the festival is held yearly. Bands of different genres come and perform from different parts of North Carolina. The festival has different venues of arts and crafts, and there's even one who does temporary tattoos and face art. Sellers set up their tables with various items like scented candles, wall paintings, and other kinds of household decorations. But the main attractions are the carnival rides and the variety of delicious foods. There's southern barbeque, jumbo sized grilled turkey wings, Cajun jambalaya, seafood, and oh my goodness, the best funnel cakes I've ever had. There's so much food to choose from, I go on different days so I can get a little bit of my favorites before the festival leaves. The festivities began this year on April 28th and ends on April 30th, and the best part about it, and what I'll miss most when I move is, it's in walking distance from where I live. I don't have to drive and try to find a parking space because it's literally right out my back door. The Farmville Dogwood festival is one of things that makes the small town of Farmville, NC a place that brings people together.
