The Convenience of Online Shopping

 

One of my favorite things to do is shop online. The main reason being, convenience. When the country was first invaded by the COVID virus, safety was on high alert- so much so, businesses were forced to close down. It was during that time that I really got acquainted with online shopping. I was able to order household essentials, personal items, and even groceries! Now that things have calmed down and the world is somewhat back to functioning normally, companies and stores have reopened and it's business as usual. However, being able to shop online has become the norm for me. I enjoy the convenience of having my items shipped right to my doorstep and the best part is, there are no long lines to wait in. Additionally, I can find some awesome sales and even get free gifts from time to time. Of course, I only shop for what I need because it's very easy to get carried away if you're not careful. And it seems that a lot of businesses who normally wouldn't deliver, now provide deliveries  through companies like DoorDash, Uber Eats, Grubhub, etc. I recently found out that not only do these places deliver food, but they'll deliver from convenient stores as well. Even though I've ordered food through DoorDash a few times, it's not something I would or could do often due to the delivery and miscellaneous fees. Nonetheless, I like having the option, especially on an evening when you just want to relax after a hard day but want to eat out. Times have definitely changed, in some ways for better, and in some ways for worse.
